What are we looking for?

We are looking for people with a great attitude, who have ‘heart’ and are invested in being a part of the Lismore City Council team. We are looking for people who want a challenge and have a desire to contribute to the success of our community. We want people looking for a career change and people who are seeking a job where income is regular, as are the hours!

What type of roles are we looking for?

We are looking for people to fill various roles across the entire organisation. From a grader operator to a manager. Library assistants and traffic controllers to development assessors and mechanics. Council is a large and diverse employer in the region, our roles are suited to those in skilled trades, plant operators, project managers, leaders, administration, professionals and much more.


I am not sure my skillset would suit what is required?

We are open to transferring skillsets. If you have a career or experience in one field, but your skills could be beneficial for other purposes, we want to know. We want the right people in the right roles.

I don’t have the tickets or qualifications required?

That’s ok. Throw your hat in the ring. Let us know the skills that you do have. Tell us that you are open to training to develop your skillset. Even specify what you are interested in.

This isn’t a specific job ad how does this work?

Things have changed a lot in recent years with many businesses feeling the impacts of COVID-19 and the floods. This has greatly hindered the ability to secure workers. So, we are calling out to our local community and beyond to come and join us.
