We are inviting applications from current employees for the role of Digital Communications Officer with our Communications and Marketing team. This role is a maximum term, full-time position until 30 June 2026.
This position is critical for driving the development, enhancement, and management of our digital communications across various internal and external platforms. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, creative and innovative individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality digital content and building effective relationships within the community and among staff.

What we trust you to deliver 
  • Undertake administrator responsibilities for Council's websites and digital accounts managed by the Communications and Marketing team.
  • Use analytics and usability tools to evaluate customer usage and develop recommendations to improve online customer experience.
  • Plan and undertake regular audits of Council's digital assets to ensure legislative compliance quality, accessibility, usability and privacy standards are maintained, and work with council teams to ensure accurate and timely content is provides for the public.
  • Apply expert knowledge and skills to design, create and publish web content and multimedia using content management systems, whilst incorporating usability and accessibility requirements. 
What you'll need to be successful
  • Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, graphic design, social media, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Be proficient with HTML and CSS (desirable)
  • A current class C drivers licence 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
