The Team Leader Urban Drains will liaise, plan, organise, lead and motivate the Urban Drains team to complete stormwater maintenance programs on time and on budget in accordance with Council requirements and relevant standards for WHS, risk management, environmental and quality systems. This position plays a key role in manging staff, providing technical support and assisting the Coordinator in ensuring efficient and effective use of resources in the maintenance of Council's urban drains. 
You'll be working in a full time 76 hour per fortnight role, that will primarily be based at our Wyrallah Road Depot in East Lismore.

What we trust you to deliver 
  • Lead a cohesive, results driven team to achieve service delivery benchmarks and demonstrate accountable, affiliative and constructive behaviours in all interactions
  • Provide high level customer service to manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Coordinator with the maintenance and scheduling of the Urban Stormwater network
  • Manage construction/maintenance activities and ensure works are delivered to the established benchmarks within the agreed budget tolerances, timeframes, and in compliance with designated resource allocation
  • Manage and monitor Work Health and Safety and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations that govern the operations within the program area.
What you'll need to be successful
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction or similar relevant qualification/industry experience
  • Certificate IV in Leadership or similar relevant qualifications/industry experience
  • Construction induction Certificate (White Card) 
  • Implement Traffic Control Plans Licence - Experience in Traffic Control plan selection and implementation
  • Excellent digital literacy and computing skills and the ability to implement these skills to work in Corporate IT systems - timesheets, safety observations daily diaries and plant pre starts.
