We are currently seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our Water & Wastewater team. You'll be working on maintaining, renewing, and installing electrical assets associated with water and wastewater infrastructure and undertaking projects across other sections of Council as required. This is a permanent full time role working 76 hours a fortnight, primarily based at our South Lismore Treatment Plant.

What we trust you to deliver 

  • Experience in undertaking in-house and field service repair, and maintenance on pump stations, treatment plants, flood, water and sewer assets
  • Attend faults in electrical installation and control equipment by troubleshooting, diagnosing and rectification of the faults
  • Co-ordinate work items including liaising with contractors, monitoring output and resolving problems to ensure work is completed to standard and on time
  • Maintain current knowledge of control and telemetry systems, including associated software packages such as SCADA and utilise these skills to troubleshoot and rectify faults under the supervision of a senior electrician

  • Electrical Trade qualification together with relevant work experience 
  • Being safety-focused and ensuring safety is a fundamental part of work
  • Proven problem-solving skills involving the analysis of information
  • Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that inspires confidence in others
