We pride ourselves on our dedication to the community, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events & Facilities Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is permanent full-time, and you will be primarily based at our Oakes Oval Office in Lismore.

As the Events & Facilities Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Lismore's community engagement through the development and delivery of major events. You will oversee the utilisation of our major facilities, manage event budgets, and support the implementation of the Events Strategy 2024 – 2028.

What we trust you to deliver 
  • Attract and bid for new major events and collaborate on promotion, marketing and branding of events.
  • Deliver and manage major events such as NAIDOC Celebration Day, Masters Games, and Christmas Carols.
  • Drive planning for event and project management.
  • Provide support and advice to external event organisers.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships with event promoters, sporting codes and event organisers at a national, state and local level.
  • Develop and manage the events budget and ensure events are financially viable and within budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the usage and management of Lismore Sports Precinct and other major facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.  
What you'll need to be successful
  • Degree in Events Management or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role within an events environment.  
  • Proven experience in event and project management.  
  • Proven track record of achieving event activation for a community.
  • High level of integrity, emotional intelligence, and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer and information technology, including event management software.
