Lismore City Council, is seeking a Corporate Planning and Reporting Coordinator. This role will support the preparation, reporting, and improvement of the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework while working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on the Capacity Capability and Recovery Roadmap (CCRR) project.
The main duties of the Corporate Planning and Reporting Coordinator will include developing the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, and annual Operational Plans. The role involves collaborating with senior leaders to ensure effective planning and reporting systems and monitoring progress and preparing reports to track Council’s performance against its strategic objectives.
This position is a permanent full time role, 70 hours per fortnight and will primarily be based at our Corporate Centre in Goonellabah.

What we trust you to deliver 

  • The development and implementation of Council’s integrated planning and reporting framework, including the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, annual Operational Plans, and other relevant corporate plans
  • Coordination of the CCRR project in conjunction with the CFO, including working with staff responsible for project delivery to assist in preparing progress and financial reports to the Executive, Council and the Office of Local Government in accordance with required timeframes
  • Manage and champion the operation of Council’s corporate performance software system to ensure data is accurate and robust, train users, respond to user enquiries and identify process improvements
  • Project management of the design, production and dissemination of and Council’s Annual Report and End of Term Report in compliance with relevant legislation

What you'll need to be successful

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business related/ corporate planning discipline or demonstrated hands on experience in developing corporate planning and policy documents.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework and its reporting requirements under the NSW Local Government Act 1993, together with experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures. 
  • Highly developed analytical skills with proven experience gathering and analysing business data to assist strategic planning and business decision making
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
