Our Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) is the principal delivery agency for restoring the Councils’ and Community assets. Over the coming months, the team will grow exponentially, offering exciting opportunities for personal and professional development as we deliver many rebuild and transformation projects for our community.

Assisting in maintaining and monitoring all WHS Statutory requirements for the portfolio and sites, including the statutory reporting requirements.
- Provides advice, training, consultation, monitoring, and governance to support stakeholders and ensure all relevant WH&S legislation, Council policies, and procedures are implemented and effective.

Provide critical legislative and organisation updates as required.

Promote the development of a strong safety, health, environment, and quality culture to support a safe and caring working environment.
- Actively train and coach operational and project teams.

Monitoring and conducting regular HSE governance checks.

Delivery Toolbox and inductions.

Actively review and maintain procedures and processes to deliver continuous improvement.
- Manage various matters in an environment of conflicting priorities, including complementing safety audits.
What you'll need to be successful

Minimum certificate 4 in OH&S management; ideally, a Diploma-level qualification in a relevant safety discipline.

TAE40122 - Certificate in Training and Assessment.

Strong experience in a similar site-based construction and Local Government role.

Strong Safety Commitment - Be proactive and aware of your own safety and that of others.

Robust understanding of the WHS Act and Regulations and Safe Work NSW.

This position is a full-time (70 Hrs per fortnight), term-based appointment until 31 December 2026.
