We have an exciting opportunity, due to continued growth in our Parks and Open team, for a Trades Assistant to join us to assist with inspections, repair, and maintenance of recreational assets within the Lismore Urban and Rural Local Government Areas. This is a permanent full time role, working 76 hours per fortnight, primarily based at our Brunswick Street Depot in Lismore.

What we trust you to deliver 
  • The skills, capability, and willingness to analyse problems, evaluate alternatives with a focus on collaborative problem solving. 
  •  The ability to operate machinery to manage tasks within the role.
  • The undertaking of handyman responsibilities.
  • Identification and recording of defects and risks when undertaking routine inspections.
  • The undertaking of routine parks and playgrounds inspections and recording in the REFLECT management system.
  • Complete documentation associated with timesheets, accident/incident reporting, plant operation and risk assessments.
What you'll need to be successful
  • A relevant Certificate III accreditation or equivalent, together with the relevant work experience.
  • WorkCover Construction Induction Card and Chemcert Accreditation.
  • Current Playground Inspection Certificate (Visual and Operational) Comprehensive (Desirable).
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Be flexible, self motivated, proactive and observant
