About this Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Resource Allocator to join our Roads department. The Resource Allocator is a key member of the Roads and Quarry Section within the Chief Operating Office. The primary function of the Resource Allocator is to effectively allocate resources across the Roads and Quarry department, while also providing crucial support to the Works Coordinator when required. This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.

What we trust you to deliver:

  • Strategically allocate personnel, fleet, and resources across teams to optimise efficiency and meet project objectives
  • Manage fleet usage, maintenance schedules, and external hires to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with operational needs
  • Collaborate with Field Supervisors and the Works Coordinator to implement training plans and oversee trainee development
  • Maintain accurate records and utilise Council systems to track resource allocation and generate operational insights
  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement, implementing and monitoring quality control practices
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaborative problem-solving

 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Certificate IV in Civil Construction or Frontline Management and/or relevant experience.
  • Essential qualifications including licences, certifications and tickets
  • Demonstrated experience in resource allocation, team coordination, and fleet management in civil construction or a similar field.
  • Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.

Full Time: 76 hours per fortnight 

Salary: From $79,287 + superannuation
