Lismore City Council is seeking an exceptional Head of Finance to shape the financial future of our community and organisation.
About the Role:
As the Head of Finance, you’ll be at the helm of financial operations, ensuring long-term sustainability, strategic planning, and innovative solutions. This position isn’t just about numbers – it’s about leadership, transformation, and creating a resilient financial strategy for Lismore City Council’s growth and prosperity.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, including the Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
- Lead a high-performing Finance team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert advice to Council executives, offering actionable insights and trend analysis.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and industry standards.
- Represent Lismore City Council as a position of trust by ensuring the financial integrity, transparency, and accountability of the Council’s financial management

Qualifications & Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent (Postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- CA or CPA qualified (desirable)
