About this Position:

Lismore City Council is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our Quarry team. This role involves operating and maintaining plant and equipment in an Extractive Industry/Quarry Environment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

What we trust you to deliver:

• Operate quarry plant and equipment, including loaders, excavators, and watercarts.
• Conduct routine maintenance and assist in major overhauls of machinery.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service. 
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Assist with quality assurance processes during production and stockpiling.
• Carry out general site maintenance as required.

What you will need to be successful:

• WorkCover Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• C Class and HR Driver’s Licence 
• Front-end loader and excavator operational competence 
• Experience in plant operation within an extractive industry environment

Full Time: 76 hours a fortnight 

Salary: Starting from $58,396 per annum + superannuation
