What we trust you to deliver:
- Be the Financial Backbone of a Changing Organisation - Lead the full spectrum of Council’s financial accounting, reporting, and treasury functions; from monthly performance to statutory compliance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and insight at every level.
- Champion Excellence in Asset, Taxation & Treasury Management -Take charge of critical functions including asset capitalisation and revaluations, taxation compliance, and treasury operations. Your leadership will ensure these systems are modern, efficient, and future-ready.
- Drive Strategic Financial Insights - Partner with senior leadership to align financial operations with organisational goals. You’ll support key financial strategies including investment, debt management, and financial risk mitigation, which sustain and improve community services.
- Lead a High-Performing Finance Function - Mentor and inspire a skilled team to deliver excellence in service, compliance, and continuous improvement. Embed a culture of accountability and customer focus within Finance and across the organisation.

What you will need to be successful:
- Relevant bachelor's degree in accounting, finance related field
- Membership of a relevant professional institute (e.g. CPA, CA or equivalent)
- Class C Drivers licence

Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight
