What we trust you to deliver:
- Be the strategic financial engine behind the organisation’s vision - Lead the team responsible for financial planning, analysis, and long-term forecasting. This is your opportunity to align financial strategy directly with Council’s goals, shaping how resources are planned, prioritised, and invested.
- Partner directly with leaders to drive impact - This isn’t just a back-office role. You’ll work side by side with senior leaders and budget owners to embed financial intelligence into business decisions, strategic planning, and performance improvement across Council.
- Lead a high performing finance business partnering function - Bring a customer focused, collaborative approach to financial support. You’ll lead a proactive business partnering team that provides clear, timely insights to empower departments across the organisation.
- Oversee the big picture - Own and drive the development of the Long-Term Financial Plan, lead Council’s budgeting and business planning cycles, and provide forecasting that helps steer the organisation’s financial future.
- Tell the story behind the numbers - You’ll deliver financial reporting that does more than just inform, it tells a clear, strategic story. From corporate reports to P&L and FTE dashboards, your work will empower better decisions through clear insights and data visualisation.
- Lead with influence, insight, and Innovation - You’ll lead a team and contribute to a broader cultural shift, embedding performance focus, innovation, and continuous improvement into the finance function. This is your chance to leave a legacy of smarter, more connected finance.

What you will need to be successful:
- Relevant bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field
- Membership of a relevant professional institute (e.g. CPA, CA or equivalent)
- Current Class C drivers licence

Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight
