We are excited to offer a Trainee Water Industry Operations position within our dedicated Water & Wastewater team. This two year, full-time traineeship is your chance to get real world experience, learn new skills, and build a career that matters. Traineeships are an excellent way to launch your professional career while earning a nationally recognised qualification!
As a Water Industry Operations Trainee you will:
- Receive paid on-the-job training while working alongside experienced professionals
- Gain hands on experience in water and wastewater maintenance and construction
- Be supported through mentoring and guidance every step of the way
- Earn while you learn - get paid while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Water Industry Operations
What you will need to be successful:
- Be eager to learn and demonstrate your enthusiasm for the role
- Be curious, ask questions, and be open to gaining new knowledge and skills
- Be able to express your ideas clearly and listen actively to others
- Be committed to learning on the job and in the classroom

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements

Immunisation Program
Council has an immunisation program to provide employees with vaccinations against known health risks associated with their respective duties and to identify any exposure to products that may affect an employee’s health, fitness and wellbeing. This position has been identified as a risk to the employee and as such the successful applicant/s will be required to participate in the immunisation program and it is the applicant’s responsibility to have undertaken relevant immunisation/s prior to commencement with Council.
