About this Position:
As a Heavy Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy rigid and combination vehicles in road construction, maintenance, and quarry operations. You'll work as a part of a multi-skilled team, contributing to safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment, and occasionally supporting with manual labour tasks.
This role is critical in ensuring our roads and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and connected.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Operate HR and HC vehicles including tippers, water trucks, and truck & dog combinations
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure roadworthiness
- Support road maintenance and construction activities
- Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to team development
- Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rosters
- Use Council technology to manage tasks and communication
- Maintain accurate records including timesheets, inspections, and incident reports
What you will need to be successful:
- Current Class HR Licence
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus certificate

Full Time: 76 hours a fortnight with an RDO
Salary: Salary range from $34.25 to $39.38 per hour + superannuation
