About this Position:
Join us in delivering exceptional service at the Lismore Memorial Baths (LMB) this 2025/2026 season. We provide excellent service to our patrons and take pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our pool patrons. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, providing first aid, and supporting the daily operations of our aquatic facilities.
We are excited to offer the following opportunities:
- Two maximum-term, part-time contract opportunities, each for a duration of 8 months, starting in October 2025. These roles are for 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as opportunities arise. Salary ranging from $28.29 an hour, plus superannuation.
- Casual contract opportunities. Hourly rate of $35.37, plus superannuation.
It is a requirement of the role to work a variety of morning, day and evening shifts across the week and additional shifts at Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC) as needed.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Supervise pool areas to ensure the safety of all patrons.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the aquatic facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and operational guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist with general inquiries.
What you will need to be successful:
- Have a genuine customer service focus and safety.
- Personal integrity and able to take responsibility.
- An understanding of relevant Workplace Health and Safety.
- First Aid Certificate/CPR.
- Royal Life Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.

Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Lismore City Council, Goonellabah Sports and Aquatics Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement 2015 (EA) and relevant Council policies and procedures.
