About this Position:
Join us in delivering exceptional service at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC). We provide excellent service to our patrons and take pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We are currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to join our team as Cafe Staff. This is a permanent part-time position for 10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as opportunities arise.
In this role, you will be a key member of the GSAC Cafe team, committed to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing high-quality beverages as a barista, assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and cafe areas, and managing stock orders to support efficient service delivery.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Foster a welcoming environment for all customers, handle inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
- Carry out Cafe duties including barista work, preparation of food / drink as required, and cleaning duties as well as providing support and assistance to staff in all areas where required including reception and crèche if needed.
- Prepare food for catering requests.
- Comply with all WHS requirements as per policy and regulations.
- Provide support to the Cafe Supervisor as required.
What you will need to be successful:
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid Certificate (can be attained as part of training).
- Food Handler Basics (can be attained as part of training)
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Experience in cafe / hospitality with sound knowledge and experience as a barista and customer service would be highly regarded.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Lismore City Council, Goonellabah Sports and Aquatics Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement 2015 (EA) and relevant Council policies and procedures.
