About this Position:
We are excited to invite applications for a Drainage and Water Attendant within our highly skilled and supportive Water and Wastewater team. This position plays a key role in supporting the operation, maintenance and construction works of Council's urban drains, water and wastewater infrastructure.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Perform operational maintenance tasks on Council's urban drainage, water and wastewater infrastructure as directed.
- Undertake a variety of manual labour tasks to support construction of infrastructure, including pipe laying and trenching
- Operate small plant and equipment, ensuring safe and effective use
- Deliver professional customer interactions within the community in line with Council's standards and values
- Undertake quarterly meter reading of household water consumption
- Participate in an on-call roster outside of standard working hours.
What you will need to be successful:
- General Construction Induction Training (White Card)
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Basic level of computer literacy and competence in the use of smart devices
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Water Operations, Civil Construction (Pipe Laying) or willing to obtain

Full Time: 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: From $1,113.00 (Grade 5 Entry) per week + superannuation

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.

Immunisation Program
Council has an immunisation program to provide employees with vaccinations against known health risks associated with their respective duties and to identify any exposure to products that may affect an employee’s health, fitness and wellbeing. This position has been identified as a risk to the employee and as such the successful applicant/s will be required to participate in the immunisation program and it is the applicant’s responsibility to have undertaken relevant immunisation/s prior to commencement with Council.
