About this Position:
The Field Supervisor – Treatment independently leads the treatment operations team in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Council’s water and wastewater treatment facilities and fixed infrastructure to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of essential services.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Leadership: Lead the operations team in the operation of sewer treatment facilities, water treatment facilities with strict adherence to safety requirements, environmental regulation requirements and quality standards.
- Water and Sewer Treatment Operations Supervision: Oversee and guide the treatment operations team in treatment process operations of water and wastewater network assets.
- Resource Utilisation: Strategically manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimise efficiency and productivity.
- High Risk Work Environment: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols in high-risk environments.
- Quality Control: Oversee treatment operations to ensure compliance with water and sewer regulations and quality standards.
What you will need to be successful:
- Experience in the operation, monitoring, and optimisation of water and wastewater treatment systems, including advanced process control and troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical application of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead operations within regulated environments, ensuring compliance with EPA, NSW Health, DPIE, and other statutory bodies.
- Advanced experience with SCADA, telemetry, and process control systems, including system configuration, data analysis, and performance optimisation.
- Cert IV Leadership and Management or an equivalent Cert IV qualification and/or relevant experience
- Cert III in Water Industry Operations or relevant qualification in similar field
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Desirable:
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence

Full Time: 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: Salary range from $1,564.50 to $1,799.18 per week + superannuation + allowances and overtime as required

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
