About this Position: 

The Accountant - Financial Reporting provides professional accounting support across Council’s grants portfolio and end‑of‑month processes, ensuring accurate recognition, compliance and reporting, while maintaining strong financial controls.

What we trust you to deliver: 

  • Manage grant accounting treatment, acquittals and liaison with funding bodies. 

  • Coordinate end‑of‑month journals, accruals, reconciliations and reporting. 

  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support the improvement of financial systems. 

  • Provide monthly insights, reporting and support for QBRS and LTFP processes. 

What you will need to be successful: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance (CA/CPA). 

  • Strong experience in financial accounting. 

  • Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting system capability. 

  • Ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines and support stakeholders confidently.

Full Time: 35-hour week. 

Salary: A competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicant commensurate with their relevant skills and experience.
