About this Position:

As Café Supervisor, you will manage all aspects of the GSAC café, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with food safety standards, and a positive experience for our patrons. You’ll lead a small team, maintain stock levels, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.
 
This role is permanent part-time, 20 hours a week based at our GSAC Cafe in Goonellabah.

  • Oversee day-to-day café operations in line with Council policies and WHS requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and foster a positive team culture.
  • Maintain food hygiene standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage stock ordering and inventory to meet demand.
  • Train, monitor, and supervise café staff.
  • Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Relevant industry experience, including food preparation and barista skills
  • Strong customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead others.
  • Knowledge of WHS and food safety standards.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including split shifts across Monday - Saturday.

Part Time: This role is for 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as opportunities arise. 

Salary: A salary range from $28.29 to $29.99 per hour + superannuation.

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Lismore City Council Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement 2015 (Agreement), and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
