About this Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Officer to join the Roads and Infrastructure division. This role will provide high-quality customer service through the provision of financial support and services to all functional units within the division. This role will engage proactively with managers and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless functioning and attainment of division’s financial goals and objectives. 

This role will suit a self-motivated and organised individual with strong analytical, communication and financial literacy skills to drive continuous improvement and service excellence. An understanding of engineering would be an asset but not essential.

What we trust you to deliver:

  • Work collaboratively with the functional managers to prepare and monitor budgets.
  • Provide support to ensure grant funding is applied appropriately and in line with legislative requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, and other administrative and financial tasks.
  • Provide ongoing and adhoc training to support the effective usage and compliance of financial systems among staff and managers.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Computer literacy skills and high levels of accuracy with data entry
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence

Full Time/Part Time/Term Contract etc: 70 hours across a 9-day fortnight

Salary: Annual salary from $84,600 + superannuation
