About this Position:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Supervisor to join our Roads and Infrastructure directorate. Reporting to the Works Lead, the Field Supervisor is responsible for leading the construction and maintenance teams to deliver safe, high-quality infrastructure outcomes. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating resources, supervising staff and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards. Working within a multi-skilled team, the role requires flexibility, strong leadership capability, and a proactive approach to safety, performance, and continuous improvement and will be critical to building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.

What we trust you to deliver:

 

  • Lead multiple teams in construction and maintenance of the roads and infrastructure assets, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Strategically manage and allocate resources, including staff, plant, materials and contractors to optimise team efficiency and productivity while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement, implementing and monitoring quality control practices.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.

 

What you will need to be successful:

 

  • Cert IV in Civil Construction or Cert IV Frontline Management and/or relevant experience
  • More than 5 years’ experience working in the civil construction industry 
  • Current Class Light Rigid (LR) Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • TfNSW / RMCC experience is highly regarded but not essential

Full Time: 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight 

Salary: Annual salary from $81,667, plus superannuation
