About this Position:

The Business Analyst supports informed decision‑making across Council’s property portfolio by translating data into meaningful insights and practical improvements. Reporting to the Commercial Analyst, this role plays a key part in strengthening the analysis, reporting, and delivery of property and commercial decisions.

You will work across leasing, licensing, acquisitions and property operations to develop financial models, build reporting and contribute to business cases. The role focuses on improving data quality, refining processes and supporting a consistent, evidence‑based approach to property and commercial activities.

Working closely with the Commercial and Property Services team, you will analyse performance trends, map business processes and develop dashboards and reporting that support both operational and strategic decision‑making. The role also contributes to building internal capability by supporting better use of systems, data and analysis tools.

This position is well-suited to an analytically strong professional looking to apply business analysis skills in a commercial and property environment, with the opportunity to influence decision‑making and improve how information is used across the organisation.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Experience in business analysis or a similar analytical role
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, particularly in Excel and data interpretation
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, tailored to different stakeholders
  • Experience in process mapping and continuous improvement, with a structured, problem‑solving approach
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to contribute to decision‑making

Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight

Salary: A salary range between $1,710 and $2,138 per week + superannuation
