About this Position:

Join our Technology and Innovation team as the Business Systems Lead and play a key role in delivering and enhancing the technology solutions that support Council's operations and services. Reporting to the Manager Technology and Innovation, you will lead the Business Systems team and oversee the Records Management function, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs, optimise processes, and implement fit-for-purpose systems that drive efficiency and innovation.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across Council's business applications and data environment, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and service excellence in a dynamic local government setting.

What we trust you to deliver: 

  • Lead the lifecycle management of Council's business systems, ensuring they are fit-for purpose, integrated, secure and deliver a high-quality user experience.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Council, providing expert advice, influencing system decision and leading major technology and change inititatives.
  • Manager the Business Systems Team, Records Management function, vendors and budgets, ensuring effective service delivery, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive system performance, governance and innovation through strategic planning, DPI reporting, cyber security compliance, documentation and records management oversight.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Systems, Business Analysis or related field.
  • Proven experience leading teams and delivering business systems support withing complex technology environments, with the ability to drive performance and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong expertise in business systems, business analysis and project delivery, including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, system implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communications, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in system integration, reporting tools and delivering customer-focused technology solutions across large organisation.

Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight

Salary: A salary range from $107,605.00 to $123,746.00 per annum + 12% Superannuation
