    • There are a number of local events that require delivering over the next 6 months. Each event will require planning, implementation and evaluation. The hours of this position will vary leading into events scheduled.
    • We are open to part time or casual arrangements and will be willing to discuss this further with suitable candidates. After hours and weekend work may be required from time to time.

Position details:

Lismore City Council is currently seeking numerous person/s to collaborate with LCC staff to bring major community events to Lismore and surrounds after the devastating flooding disaster.
The Events PMDO will be reporting to the Events and Facilities Co-ordinator. Events PMDO will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of major community events for the community.
The role also requires a creative and flexible approach to Event Management, strong communication and time management skills, along with stakeholder management.

Your duties will include:

  • End to end event management – ensuring that all projects run to time; that all stakeholders are communicated with in a timely and professional manner and that no detail is left to chance. From initial briefing, through the planning and execution on site, to final evaluation.
  • Event logistics – develop and manage the critical path, manage all logistics and suppliers within necessary timeframes and budget.
  • Delegate liaison – manage delegate retention and maintain accurate records. Maintain regular communication to optimise delegate engagement, attendance and participation.
  • Sponsor/Partner liaison – coordinate and engagement of sponsors in the event lead up
  • Supplier management – clear communication and negotiation with venues, AV production, design and print.
  • Interactive website – updating the website with necessary information.
  • Professional communication – confidence in written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Post event analysis – including management of the evaluation process, collating and distributing the event. Necessary feedback to all relevant parties, holding event debrief, final budget reconciliation & reviewing
  • Facilitation and optimisation of internal relationships – collaborating with production, sales and marketing teams to ensure events are fully promoted and supported.
  • Provide administrative and event support to other members of the event team as required.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Events & Facilities Co-ordinator to provide updates on progress of event.
  • Must comply with WHS requirements under the Work Health & Safety Act 2011.
  • Must meet all of LCC procurement requirements.
  • This position is part of a small team and is required to flexible and agile. From time to time, this role may be required to support more than one department as the need arises and provide support across the organisation as directed.

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements
